Return & Refund Policy

At Savemax India, we manufacture and supply fire safety equipment to the highest quality standards — certified to BIS, CPWD, and Euro requirements. We stand behind every product we ship and are committed to resolving any issue with our products fairly and promptly.

This Return & Refund Policy explains the conditions under which returns, replacements, and refunds are accepted, and the process for raising such requests. Please read this policy carefully before confirming your order.

Important Note: Savemax India sells fire safety equipment on a B2B enquiry-and-quotation basis to businesses, contractors, consultants, and project procurement teams. Our products are safety-critical equipment subject to specific handling, storage, and certification requirements. As a result, our return and refund policy reflects the nature of our products and our operating model — it is distinct from standard e-commerce consumer return policies.

1. Eligibility for Return

Returns are accepted under the following circumstances only:

1.1 Manufacturing Defect

If a product is found to have a verifiable manufacturing defect — a defect in materials or workmanship that renders the product non-functional or non-compliant with its certified specification — it is eligible for return, replacement, or refund at Savemax India’s discretion.

A manufacturing defect must be:

  • Identified and reported within 7 days of delivery
  • Supported by photographic evidence and a written description of the defect
  • Confirmed by Savemax India’s quality team upon inspection of the product or returned unit

1.2 Wrong Product Dispatched

If Savemax India dispatches a product that does not match the product type, model, or specification confirmed in the purchase order or order acknowledgement, the incorrect product is eligible for return and replacement at no cost to the buyer.

Discrepancies must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

1.3 Damaged in Transit

If a product arrives visibly damaged due to transit handling, it is eligible for return or replacement. Transit damage must be:

  • Documented at the time of delivery with photographs
  • Reported in writing to Savemax India within 48 hours of delivery
  • Supported by a notation on the delivery receipt / proof of delivery (POD) where possible

2. Non-Returnable Items

The following products and circumstances are explicitly excluded from our return policy:

  • Products that have been installed, used, or discharged — Once a fire extinguisher or fire safety product has been installed, operated, or its seal broken, it cannot be returned unless the issue is a confirmed manufacturing defect
  • Products ordered to custom specification — Items manufactured to custom sizes, finishes, or specifications not part of our standard product range are non-returnable
  • Products damaged due to buyer mishandling — Damage arising from improper storage, installation, or use after delivery is not eligible for return
  • Products with tampered or removed certification labels — All Savemax products are shipped with BIS, CPWD, and/or Euro certification labels intact. Products returned with labels removed or tampered will not be accepted
  • Products returned without original packaging — Where original packaging is required for safe return transport, products must be returned in their original packaging
  • Returns requested beyond the eligible reporting window — Defect or damage claims reported more than 7 days after delivery (or 48 hours for transit damage and wrong product) will not be accepted

3. Return Process

To initiate a return, follow these steps:

Step 1 — Notify Us Email our team at info@savemaxindia.com within the applicable reporting window (7 days for manufacturing defects, 48 hours for transit damage or wrong product). Your notification must include:

  • Your company name and contact details
  • Savemax invoice number or order reference
  • Product name and model
  • Clear description of the issue
  • Photographs of the product and defect or damage
  • Copy of delivery receipt / POD (for transit damage claims)

Step 2 — Claim Assessment Our quality and customer service team will review your claim within 5 working days of receiving complete documentation. We may request the product be returned to our facility for physical inspection before a resolution is confirmed.

Step 3 — Return Authorisation If your claim is accepted, we will issue a Return Authorisation (RA) Number along with return shipping instructions. Products returned without a valid RA Number will not be accepted at our facility.

Step 4 — Return Shipment

  • For confirmed manufacturing defects or wrong product dispatched: Savemax India will arrange and bear the cost of return logistics
  • For transit damage claims where courier liability is established: the return logistics process will be coordinated between Savemax India, the buyer, and the logistics carrier

Step 5 — Resolution Upon receipt and inspection of the returned product, Savemax India will offer one of the following resolutions within 10 working days:

  • Replacement — A new unit of the same product dispatched at no additional cost
  • Repair — Where the defect is minor and rectifiable, a repaired unit returned to the buyer
  • Credit Note — A credit note of equivalent value applicable against a future Savemax India purchase order
  • Refund — Where replacement or credit is not suitable, a full or partial refund processed to the buyer’s original payment source

4. Refunds

4.1 Refund Eligibility

A monetary refund is issued where:

  • A verified manufacturing defect or wrong product dispatch is confirmed
  • A replacement product is unavailable (e.g., product discontinued or out of stock for an extended period)
  • The buyer and Savemax India mutually agree that a refund is the appropriate resolution

4.2 Refund Timelines

Once a refund is approved, Savemax India will process it within 15 working days of confirmation. Refunds are processed to the original payment source (bank account via NEFT/RTGS). Bank processing times may add 2–5 working days beyond this.

4.3 Order Cancellation — Pre-Dispatch

If a confirmed order needs to be cancelled before dispatch:

  • Cancellations requested within 24 hours of order confirmation — eligible for full refund of any advance payment received, with no cancellation charge
  • Cancellations requested after 24 hours but before dispatch — eligible for refund less any material procurement or manufacturing costs already incurred, at Savemax India’s reasonable assessment
  • Cancellations requested after dispatch has occurred — not eligible for refund. The return policy above applies instead

4.4 Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Products returned outside the eligible reporting window
  • Products damaged by buyer after delivery
  • Returns declined by our quality team upon inspection
  • Custom-specification or made-to-order products

5. AMC & Service-Related Refunds

Savemax India also provides Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) services for fire extinguisher inspection, servicing, and refilling. AMC service fees are non-refundable once a service visit has been completed and a service report issued. Disputes regarding service quality should be reported within 48 hours of service completion and will be addressed through a re-inspection or remedial service visit at no additional charge.

6. Warranty Claims vs. Returns

A return (as described in this policy) relates to new, uninstalled products. Defects discovered in products that have already been installed and are in active service are handled under our Product Warranty (see Terms & Conditions, Section 6) rather than this return policy. In such cases, our warranty claim process applies.

7. Consumer Rights — Indian Law Reference

Savemax India acknowledges and respects your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. These laws entitle buyers to fair redressal for defective products or services. If you believe your concern has not been adequately addressed through our return and refund process, you may escalate your complaint to:
